Titanium Wedding Bands

My fiance and I would like something unique, not too modern/geometrical, in tungsten or titanium. We’d really like there to be some black in the design as well, maybe with a naturalistic or Celtic engraving? I know this is soooo specific, I’d also settle for something silver in color and just really unique.

I have a man/woman matching wedding band set, made of titanium. I’m hearing from pawn shops that they only buy gold. Are there any stores that would buy a titanium wedding band set?

I have looked at a few titanium ring sites but have yet to find a womens celtic wedding band that would match any celtic black titanium engagement ring. Does anyone know of a site that does custom rings, or if you have seen what I am looking for?

I just saw an FML ("Today, I realized my wedding ring was missing. Turns out, my son had taken it to give to a girl he likes in the 2nd grade. FML") and was remembered I had always been curious.

Do certain religions not wear them? My dad was Jewish, and neither he nor my Christian-raised mom wore them. Is it just personal preference in most cases?

I know it’s a personal decision and am not knocking it, but I just never take mine off except to shower, and my husband never takes his titanium one off at all. Is this uncommon or what?
The "line of work" thing is of limited validity. My husband and I are both military. Field training exercises, rifle ranges, working in the motor pool, deployment, didn’t make a difference.
Violet– We wear ours because we believe it to symbolize our unity. Also, we don’t like people hitting on us. Rings sometimes deter such things.

I got a rash from poison ivy a few weeks ago, and realized that my wedding band still had some of the urushiol oil on it. It is a plain band made out of titanium. I really want to wear my ring, but until I remove the oil, I can’t wear it. I soaked it in jewelry cleaner to no avail.

Thinking about buying a ring but its more than I want to spend. The ring is a pretty simple titanium band with some carving that isn’t more than a few hundred dollars. It seems to be priced high though. I’m sure they could come down in price a bit and still make a good amount selling me this ring… any comments?

My engagement ring is 18k white gold and now we are picking out our wedding bands. We’re getting plain bands and I was wondering if I could get mine in a different metal (14k white gold, titanium) or if I should just stick with 18k white gold.

Would a different white metal look bad?

Does anyone know of a UK retailer who sells Wedding bands for men which are made from tungsten, or other unique metals? I cn find plenty of US retailers and titanium based products.

I was thinking of concorde or space shuttle metal but can’t seem to get hold of it!

I’m trying to pick out a wedding band for my husband-to-be. A lot of people I know get titanium or tungsten rings instead of gold, but how durable are they? My fiance is a mechanic and works a lot in construction- so we’re looking for something that won’t be scratched and banged up easily.

With a red stripe down the center (engraved or carbon fiber)

Whats the difference in quality & price, and which is better – for engagement or wedding bands.

So men, out of these couple of choices, which would you prefer to wear? They arent’ the most expensive, because I’m still in college, and need to save money for rent and books. But I still think these look nice.

Ive been engaged for 5 months, i want to give my fiance a ring like a wedding band so he can wear it, its not going to be his wedding band but a ring that people can recognized his engaged. What do guys suggest? Would it be better to get a simple ring and engrave our names in the outside?

Hello to all! Still on the search for the perfect wedding set, as assigned by dear FH

I’m having such a hard time with this, but I’m determined to make a decision asap. This has gone on long enough. Some of you might remember I asked a couple questions about wedding jewelry in relation to having OCD, including obsessive handwashing.

Now, I don’t expect anyone to make the decision for me, but any help and opinions would be appreciated!

My criteria: Must be either palladium or titanium metal. Centre stone can not be diamond (I don’t like the diamonds in my price range), but must be high quality to last a lifetime and practically colourless. I’ve been leaning towards moissanite. I love a sparkly ring, but at the same time I see the practicality of a plainer band. I would like to wear the wedding band just about all the time and the engagement ring would come off when I’m at home.

I love them both, but they’re two very different sets, which is where my problem lies…I feel like I’m a little too close to the problem and I’m just going in circles, so could use some outside help-Please!

They don’t sell half sizes, and a shop I went to said they can’t weld a strip around the inside to make it smaller, because of the titanium.

I’m trying to find a wedding band and I’m not to picky on whether it is gold or not as long as it isn’t the yellow gold. While skimming through the stores/websites I noticed more and more rings being made out of tungsten and titanium. Are either of these materials any good as far as lasting and not changing colors or the skin colors? I like the looks of a lot of them better than gold and noticed some cost more but I didn’t know how good they were. I’d rather get some opinions before buying one and then it not be all that good.
